Parking for Knightwood Primary School

Drop off zone (morning only)

Whilst we would love for all children to walk, ride or scoot to school we also understand that this isn't always possible with busy lives and work commitments it is sometimes easier to just 'drop and go'.

If you are using our drop off zone please ensure the following:

• Your children are independently able to do so without the need for you getting out of the car
• Children arrive at the drop off zone ready with their things to get out of the car safely and quickly.
• Children only get out of the car when you reach yellow lines by the cones where there is an adult to assist them.

The idea of the drop off zone is keep the flow of traffic moving whilst allowing children to get out of the car safely. Furthermore, the carpark is for staff parking only and so we ask that you do not park in the carpark but use the Glendowan car park instead.

Please note that the drop off zone is only available in the morning. In the afternoon the carpark is closed to ensure the safety of children leaving the school grounds. 

Parking  

We ask that you please do not use Bellflower Way as a place to park your car, as well as wanting to be good neighbours, Bellflower Way is actually a restricted parking area and so you will risk getting a ticket if you park there. Instead, we have parking and the bottom of Glendowan Road. The gate is open first thing so that you can access the school from Knightwood Road. Attached is a map that displays where you can park and where the alternative entrance is to the school. You can also park here at school pick up and again the gate from Knightwood Road will be open from 3pm.
